What is the Best Way to Make Money on TikTok?
If you’re a content producer, you’ve certainly been curious about how to make money on TikTok, how much money you can make, and how the site pays. Let’s chat about TikTok revenue!
The social media behemoth has been a coveted commodity since its global premiere in 2017. Is it, nevertheless, possible to make money on TikTok? Yes! Instead of merely a place to view films like Arnold Schwarzenegger chasing a small pony, it became a potential money stream for many content providers as its popularity grew.
To make money on TikTok, how many views do you need?
The barrier to earning money directly from TikTok was much higher until December 2021. To monetise your account, you needed to be at least 18 years old (which is still the case! ), have at least 10,000 followers, and 100,000 video views in the previous 30 days.
If you meet those requirements, you may be eligible for TikTok’s Creator Fund. Because the payment-per-view data have never been made public, it’s not as simple as claiming “1,000 views Equals $X.” Once you’ve joined up for the Creator Fund, it’s expected that you’ll earn roughly two to three cents for every 1,000 views.
Payments, on the other hand, vary depending on the quantity and authenticity of views, the amount of participation with the videos, and whether or not the material adheres to TikTok’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.

For a while, the Creator Fund was the main way for big-name content creators to earn money on TikTok passively. Then Creator Next came along.
What’s Next for Creator?
TikTok debuted a new function near the end of 2021. It’s called Creator Next, and it’s a monetization hub that brings all of TikTok’s money-making opportunities under one roof, making it easier to make money on the site. To be considered, you must be at least 18 years old and have at least three posts with 1,000+ views in the last 30 days.
Beyond Creator Fund, there are a variety of methods to monetise your TikTok once you’ve signed up for Creator Next.
The following services are provided by Creator Next:
TikTok rewards ‘Diamonds,‘ which can be exchanged for real-world currency, based on the success of producers’ LIVE videos. During LIVE videos, viewers can also LIVE Gift their favorite content creators, which can then be converted into real, hard cash. LIVE Gifts were available before Creator Next, and any TikTok user over the age of 18 is entitled to receive them.
Video Gifts: This allows producers to earn Diamonds based on the number of times their short videos have been viewed rather than on the number of times their LIVE videos have been viewed. Like on LIVE videos, viewers may also send Gifts. To be considered, creators must have at least 100,000 followers, a 30-day-old account, and a public video posted within the last 30 days.
Viewers can donate money to their favorite content providers in exchange for a complete tip (minus any service fees.) For creators with more than 100,000 followers, this option is available.
TikTok Creator Marketplace: This allows creators to connect and collaborate with companies on both paid and reward-based campaigns through an official platform. Brands will invite creators to the Creator Marketplace directly, but if you have more than 10,000 followers, you can apply as well.
How does TikTok pay creators?
Before Creator Next, there were still loads of avenues for TikTokers to earn dollar. Aside from Creator Fund, you could (and still can!) sell your own merch, direct people to gated content on another platform like Patreon, grow and sell accounts, or become a TikTok consultant for brands.

And, of course, brand partnerships existed before Creator Next. The TikTok Creator Marketplace just makes it easier to facilitate! Between 2019 and 2021, US marketers planning to use TikTok for influencer marketing shot from just 16% to 68% – it’s clear that the platform’s bankability is only rising, and brand-sponsored videos can earn up to $1,000 if they reach 100,000 views.
While the amount isn’t set in stone, there’s money to be made on TikTok. With the addition of Creator Next, it’s now easier than ever for content creators to build towards monetization and make a living from the platform. We’re sure Arnie is saddling up as we speak.
I am very, very sorry to hear that. Is there any way you can get your story into the French media or complain to the U.S. Embassy? Do you think that might make any difference, or would it just lead to more trouble? Regardless, I’m so sorry for everything you went through! There’s no excuse for how they treated you. (I’m a fellow expat in Nice — no police interactions yet, thankfully, though the pickpocket problem here is very bad and a number of my classmates have been victimized on the bus.)Hеlⅼo There.
