Police suggest Abba Kyari’s demotion, according to Hushpuppi.

The Nigeria Police Force Disciplinary Committee has recommended that suspended IRT Commander DCP Abba Kyari be demoted to the position of Assistant Commissioner of Police.

This came after the Committee examined the report of the Special Investigation Panel, which looked into Kyari following an affidavit from the US Federal Bureau of Investigation led to an indictment.

The Committee found Kyari to have socialized with fraudsters and to have broken the Nigeria Police Force’s social media standards by replying to the FBI’s indictment on his Facebook page without following established procedures.

Following the observations of the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN, the Police have launched additional investigations against the suspended DCP.

Malami had assessed that there was a prima facie case against Kyari, but the Police report was too shaky to hold him accountable in court.

“There exists a prima facie case of conspiracy, collaboration, receipt, conversion, transfer, and/or retention of proceeds of unlawful activities contrary to the provisions of Section 15, 17 & 18 of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act, 2004 and Section 17 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (Est) Act, Cap EI Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 against DCP Abba Kyari and other suspects in view of the overwhelming evidence showing the nativity of the nativity of

Meanwhile, the Police Service Commission has given the police a two-week deadline to complete the investigation.
