Russia denies any intention to strike Ukraine.
Vladimir Chizhov, Russia’s ambassador to the European Union (EU), has denied US warnings of a probable Russian strike on Ukraine on Wednesday.
Chizhov stated this in a statement published in the German daily Die Welt on Wednesday.
The ambassador also slammed the United States’ warnings regarding a future attack on Ukraine.
“As for Russia, I can tell you that there will be no strike on Wednesday.” There will be no escalation in the coming week, or the week after that, or the month after that.
“When you make claims – particularly severe allegations against Russia – you have a responsibility to show evidence.”
