Come and join our Army to fight against the Russians , Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy pleaded to foreigners.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has called on foreign people to join the country’s war against Russia’s troops as part of a new “foreign legion.”

This comes in the midst of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s big military offensive against Ukraine.

According to a statement viewed by The Nation on the website of Ukraine’s President, residents from any country might come to “battle side by side with Ukrainians against Russian war criminals.”

On Sunday, the presidential website issued a statement describing the formation of a “International Legion for Ukraine’s Territorial Defense.”

“The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, addresses all inhabitants of the globe, friends of Ukraine, peace and democracy,” it says.

“Anyone who want to contribute to Ukraine’s, Europe’s, and the world’s defense”
