NDLEA storms Lagos drug den, arrests kingpin, and many others
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) invaded Lagos Island Wednesday, detaining six people including an alleged drug trafficking kingpin.
According to a statement published by its Director, Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, the anti-drug trafficking agency also confiscated 5,862 kilogrammes of other illicit narcotics, including Loud and Codeine.
The operation took place just days after the agency arrested fast-rising artists Oniyide Azeez, better known as Zinoleesky, and Ilerioluwa Oladimeji, also known as Mohbad.
According to The Nation, anti-drug agency personnel attacked the affected districts, including Patey, Dumare, Tapa, Freeman, and its surrounds, based on solid intelligence. These locations were believed to be known for using and dealing all kinds of narcotics.
