The wife and daughter of Plateau State Commissioner of Environment, Usman Bamaiyi, have been kidnapped by unknown gunmen in the early hours of Saturday, April 9.
ASP Ubah Gabriel, a spokesman for the Plateau State Police Command, confirmed the event and added that men from the command were already on the trail of the abductors to secure the victims’ safe rescue and release.
It’s unclear whether the Commissioner was at home at the time of the incident. This tragic occurrence occurred only a week after two pastors were kidnapped in the same area.
